Saturday night we raced at Cowtown Speedway in Fort Worth.
The track was great. We were running great in the heat, until we took a spin in
turn two causing us to have to restart in the rear with only a green white
checkered to make up the positions. After the restart we avoided a collision,
and passed 3 or so cars. But we still were not in qualifying position.
We started 2nd row outside in the first B main. The car was great, and the
Goodyear Eagles really hooked up! We ran second for most of the race, but slid
off turn two letting two cars around. On the last lap we successfully passed the
car in third which landed us a spot in the A main.
We started on the last row inside of the A. The track was slick, but still fast.
A few laps into the race, we slid into a rut in turn four which sent us to the
wall. But instead of bouncing off, we went for a little roll.
In the end we have a few bumps and bruises and are a little sore.
But we hope to
be back out this Friday and Saturday to run two ASCS Gulf South Region races in
Waco, Texas and Willis, Texas. And we are looking forward to running in the
Speedweek tour the following week!
Hope to see lots of fans in Waco and Willis!
Thanks for stopping by the site!
