Kat's Korner: June 17, 2007
Saturday June 9, 2007-
We ran at our home track Cowtown Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas.
This was our first night running with new crew guys Roger and Sheldon Leesekamp.
We had planned on running our back up car (The Maxim), but when we arrived at
the track and tried to start the car we realized that there was a mechanical
issue, and we unloaded the J&J and ran it instead.
We started on the pole in theheat race, and finished 5th. We missed the setup a little in the heat race,
due to the track being slicker than we had expected. After starting 5th row inside of the feature we
ended the night with an 8th place finish, missing plenty of wrecks and spin outs in front of us.
Friday June 15, 2007-
We were scheduled to run in Oklahoma City with the ASCS Sooner series, but due
to rain we didn't race at all.
Saturday June 16, 2007-
We had planned on racing with the ASCS Gulf South Series in Chatham, Louisiana.
This race was also rained out but instead of calling it a night we raced in Springfield, Missouri. This was
our first night running with our new Goodyear tires.
We started and finished 6th in our heat race which put us starting 8th row outside of the A Feature.
After a struggle of adjusting to the track conditions and adjusting the wing at the correct time, we
finished 19th.
We met some great fans, and had an awesome time signing autographs. We cannot wait to go there
again! Well we are on our way to Wichita, Kansas to race with NCRA, and will update about that ASAP!!!
Sunday June 17, 2007
We arrived at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas and 30 minutes into unloading the
car it started to rain. So we are on our way back to Texas!
This Wednesday we are hoping to run in Sedalia, Missouri with the WoW Series,
and with one of my favorite drivers- Kasey Kahne!!
Then on Friday night we are scheduled to race in beaumont, Texas and on Saturday
in Baytown,Texas with the ASCS Gulf South Series!
Also, I have some new pictures that will be posted, so check back soon.
