Submitted 5/30/08: We're playing 'catch up' at Kat's Korner after a busy month of racing in May, so here are
THREE weekend's worth - for the price of one! Enjoy!
Saturday May, 24 and Sunday May, 25 2008
This weekend was another weekend off from the ASCoT tour. We decided to run with the ASCS Gulf
South Region. We ran with them for points last season, and finished 8th, and also became the rookie of
the year! On Saturday we drove down to Willis, Texas to Gator. BOY! It was HOT! There was a good car
count of about 30 cars. We struggled all night with different mechanical issues, first the steering box and
then motor troubles. We ended up running the B main, and not making the show.
On Sunday we ran in Waco, Texas at H.O.T (Heart of Texas). This has always been one of my favorite
tracks, so I was excited that we were running there! We drew a great pill and started 2nd row inside of our
heat. On the first lap another car got together with us, this ended up taking us out of the race.
After getting the car back together we started in the back of the B, our car was a little too tight and we just
couldn't make it up to the transfer spot.
But we did meet some great fans and had a lot of fun.
All in all it was a pretty tough weekend but we pulled through!
This weekend, I will not be racing. It is our last weekend off from the ASCoT Tour and My mom, sister and I
are taking my grandma to Sea World in San Antonio, Texas. She has never been before so it should be
lots of fun.
And when July starts we will be full force!! Lots of traveling, and tons of racing! We are more than ready,
and very excited!

Thursday May, 15 - Sunday May, 18 2008
This weekend we didn't race. It was our first weekend off from the ASCoT National Tour Schedule and my
family decided that we all wanted to take our own "mini vacations". On Thursday I flew out to Nebraska to
hang out with Jack Dover and his family. On Friday I attended his graduation party, and on Saturday I went
out to Knoxville to watch him race.
My mom and dad decided to spend some time down in Galveston, and my little sister Grace hung out with
Grandma!
It was a great, relaxing weekend and we all had a lot of fun!

May 9, 2008
On Friday, we raced in Oklahoma City at State Fair Speedway with the ASCoT
National tour!
The last time we ran here, we were the fastest we had ever been. This time, was
no different!
After struggling with not being able to see in the heat race [I had gotten dirt
in my eye, at the beginning of the race!!!] we had to run the B main.
We started outside pole of our B main, next to World of Outlaw driver Jason
Sides.
We took the lead on the first lap, and never looked back!
After the B main, we went to scales for tech.
I found out that we had made a mistake back at the trailer, and put the wrong
right rear on the car.
This cost us our B main win, and we had to take the provisional to start the
show!
After driving into 15th place in the A main, we had a red flag. We made some adjustments to the car, and
went back out. A few laps later, we flipped going into turn 2. A hard flip, but not much damage done to the
car! And I made it out fine as well!
On Saturday night we ran with the ASCoT Tour again, in Mesquite, Texas at Devils
Bowl.
After lots of rain and even some HAIL we finally raced! I started pole of my heat, and lead two laps, after
getting passed by Jason Johnson.
We ended the heat race with a second place finish, and got to redraw for
starting position in the A.
We re-drew a 5. And started 3rd row inside. We missed the set up a little in the A main, and finished 20.
But all in all, we were fast and learned a lot!
Thanks to those that stopped by to say hello - and see you down the road at a track near you soon!
