This past weekend, we raced on Saturday night at Lake Ozark, in Eldon, Missouri!
This was an ASCoT National race, and a WoW race.
We had a full field of about 45 cars, which made for some great racing! We drew a high number, and
started 8th in our heat race. Though we finished 6th, we didn't get enough passing points to make it to the
A.
We started 3rd row outside in the B Main. Driver/Friend Zach Chappell helped us with setup before the B
main, and also suggested that I run the cushion. This was something that I hadn't done before, and been
successful with. But we went for it.
In the B main, we were FLYING around the top on the cushion. Just couldn't get around enough cars to
make it into the A main.
When presented with the option of taking a provisional into the A, we decided that it would be best to go
out and learn some new things about running on a track as slick as Lake Ozark. We had a great run in the
A, but pulled off halfway into it.
Altogether we had a great night, met some great fans, and learned a lot.
Next weekend, we will attend the ASCoT National tour races. On Friday night in Oklahoma City and on
Saturday at the ever famous Devil's Bowl, in Mesquite. Hope to see everyone out there for some great
racing action!
And PS: The following picture was taken from our ASCoT event at Paris with a young fan after the races.
