This past weekend we ran the two ASCS Sooner region shows in Oklahoma. It was a hard working
weekend for the team, only Jason, My dad, and I were able to go!
On Friday we went out to The State Fair Grounds in Oklahoma City. We had run here a few weeks ago, and
were more than ready for a good night! We had struggled here in the past, but we most definitely hit the
setup perfectly! We got a high draw, putting us starting last row in the heat!
We were running 4th, determining how to make a move on the 3rd place car, when I missed my line going
into turn 1 and slid up the track. Two cars got under me, and we finished 6th in the heat. Unfortunately we
didn't make the A main out of the B main race, though we were very close.
Either way, we had a great night, and it was definitely the fastest and best we have ever run out there!
On Saturday morning we woke up BRIGHT AND EARLY [well Jason and my dad did] and we drove out to
Lawtown Speedway, we had never run here before. But we had heard great things, and were really
looking forward to it!
Before the races we had two great interviews with local radio stations!In the heat we started 3rd row, and
we were ready to go! We missed the setup a little bit, and the car kept laying over on the right front!
I thought we were going to flip a few times, thankfully we didn't!We got our car set up right and went out
for the B main. We started last in our B main ( which was about 14th i think) and we finished 6th!
Unfortunately, they only took 4 into the A main, but we still passed plenty of cars and ran great! Overall, we
had a great weekend running with the Sooner Series!
This weekend we will be running Saturday night only. In Missouri with the ASCS National Tour! Hope to
see everyone out there!
