This past Saturday we raced in Kennedale, Texas at Cowtown Speedway.
This was our first race to run with the ASCS Sooner Region boys. There was about 40 guys out. "Tire guy"
Jason Junker has become the new designated pill draw guy, he drew us a #7 which put us starting pole of
the 6th heat race!
My dad and Jason set the car up great and we won our heat race, this was our FIRST ASCS win!We just
barely missed the top 8 re draw, and started 5th row outside in the "A" main.
Once again, my dad, Jason, and I worked great together and got the car set up. We most definitely had a
Top 5 car.
After having to re start the first lap 2 times we were running in the top 10 when we got together with
another car.This sent us flying off the track into the tire coming out of turn 3.
I'm a little banged up, but I'm alright! I just hope to get the back up J&J ready for next weekends race!!
I would like to thank Sam Hafertepe(Sr.) for all of his help. Also my Mr. Junker & my mom for everything
they do.
And my biggest thanks to my grandma, she decided to come in the pits for the first time! Next weekend we
will also be running with the Sooner series again.
On Friday in Ok. City, and Saturday in Lawton. We are looking forward to great weekend!
