This 17 year old young lady is quick, talented, and beautiful.

Every night doesn't go exactly according to plan...
Apparently fellow racer, Tina Creswell, and myself decided to have a 'Ladies Night Out' one night at Cowtown Speedway in 2006...
...'Out' meaning out of the race!
But, no real problems, as I was out kickin' up the dirt the following week!
Thank you for taking the time to stop by my new website, mint13.com, and stop back often, as we will be updating the site regularly.
THE WHITE FLAG IS DROPPED, I'M SLIDING OUT OF TURN 4. MUD IS FLYING, AND TEAROFFS ARE EVERYWHERE.
IT'S ALMOST OVER. THE THRILL AND SUSPENSE IS AMAZING.
NOW LET ME ASK YOU THIS, HAVE YOU EVER BEEN STRAPPED INSIDE A SPRINT CAR AND FLOWN AROUND A TRACK AT OVER 120MPH?
EVERY CHANCE I GET, I'M THERE. RACING IS MY PASSION, IT'S MY LIFE.
MY NAME IS KATHRYNE MINTER, I AM 16 YEARS OLD AND FROM BEDFORD,TEXAS.
THOUGH I JUST COMPLETED MY 3RD YEAR RACING, IT WAS MY FIRST DRIVING A 360 SPRINT CAR ON DIRT.
I SPENT MY FIRST TWO YEARS RACING 4 CYLINDER MINI STOCKS.
MY FAMILY HAS NO RACING HISTORY SO FOR ALL OF US, ESPECIALLY ME AND MY DAD, IT WAS QUITE THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE.
AFTER WINNING OVER 55 FEATURES, MY FAMILY AND I DECIDED IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO MOVE INTO A MORE DIFFICULT CLASS.
I RACED LIMITED MODIFIEDS FOR ABOUT 3MONTHS UNTIL I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO DRIVE A SPRINT CAR.
SO DESPITE WHAT OTHERS THOUGHT AND SAID, I TOOK THE CHALLENGE. I KNEW THAT I HAD TO BE READY FOR WHATEVER OPPORTUNITIES CAME MY WAY, BECAUSE SOMETIMES YOU ONLY GET ONE CHANCE.
I RANKED 7TH IN POINTS AT MY HOME TRACK LAST YEAR. WHERE I WAS ALSO THE YOUNGEST DRIVER IN MY CLASS. I HAVE ALSO COMPETED IN ABOUT 10 ASCS RACES.
MY GOALS FOR THIS 2007 SEASON ARE TO RACE IN EVERY ASCS GULF SOUTH REGION RACE, RUN FOR ROOKIE OF THE YEAR TITLE, AND WIN MY VERY FIRST SPRINT CAR RACE. WHEN I AM NOT RUNNING WITH THE GULF SOUTH TOUR THOUGH, I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO COMPETE IN SOME SOONER AND NATIONAL REGION RACES, FOR PRACTICE WITH VERY EXPERIENCED DRIVERS.
IN CLOSING I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF THE WOMEN WHO WERE DETERMINED TO GET OUT OF THE STANDS, INTO THE PITS, AND THEN INTO THE SEATS OF RACECARS. AND WHO HAVE PAVED THE PATH FOR ME AND ALL OF THE OTHER WOMEN TO BE ABLE TO RACE. -- Kathryne Elizabeth Minter
